Whilst our function is to deter fraud and ensure the safety of all of those signing a legal contract or commitment; few people would know that notarization was necessary to validate the signing of a legal document. Generally, they will never compromise the strict rules governing their job including two definite  proofs of identity from the contract signer, regardless of whether the signer is their friend or family or not. Notary Publics are not allowed to discriminate on any grounds other than the veracity of the signer’s identity.
