 Awareness

Unfortunately, the vast majority of the general public does not understand what it is that a Notary Public is or does. Whilst our function is to deter fraud and ensure the safety of all of those signing a legal contract or commitment; few people would know that notarization was necessary to validate the signing of a legal document. More than just the public, sometimes important members of the business community do not fully understand the need to have legal contracts notarized.

Our FAQ page will attempt to answer some of the common questions from the public about “What A Notary Is” in order to help improve awareness of this important position in society. These include questions such as “Why are documents notarized?”, “Can any document be notarized?” and “Does the law require that legal documents are notarized?”

This explains that Notary Publics are state appointed officials and lists their roles in society and the ways in which they are recruited. By explaining to people that Notary Publics are  meant to ensure the safety of people signing contracts as well as the general public we expect to increase demand for our services and respect within society.

However, it is also important to explain the kind of character that the State expects from a Notary Public. Generally, they will never compromise the strict rules governing their job including two definite  proofs of identity from the contract signer, regardless of whether the signer is their friend or family or not. Notary Publics are not allowed to discriminate on any grounds other than the veracity of the signer’s identity.

Websites like ours also help with awareness of Notary Publics as they advertise to business people and members of the public who require the service which helps increase the profile of notarization in America.
